happy friday bobcats. I'm Cairo and I'm Chloe. It's friday february 4th 2022. And on today's show we will have our daily weather and sports as well as information on the dog wash our dramas programs, upcoming performance in an interview with our robotics team. Just because you're watching W. B. And the A. M. Mm hmm. Thank you. Mhm. It's finally real friday. Yesterday. Yesterday I definitely felt more like, I think that's from the PSD day anyway. Got plans for the weekend. I do, but I just hope that the weather works through. Let's take it to Giancarlo to see what's happening. Good morning bobcats. It's Giancarlo here with your weather for today. We're gonna be seeing sunny skies with really no clouds in sight. Even later towards the nighttime. The scars are expected to remain clear along with the beautiful blue skies will also be experiencing highs of 82° and lows of 69°. That's all I've got for you today. Now, back to desk. Okay. Thanks. Giancarlo. Now I know for sure that I can make it to this saturday's dog wash. Our wonderful vet program covers all services, including cutting nails here, cleaning, bathing, blow drying and more starting from 10 AM to two PM, plenty of time to treat your pets. So can you tell me anything more about the program. So the program does this every usually every other month and it's actually a very good way to fundraise for the program because we obviously need supplies to take care of our animals. And so what we do is we, everything is $5. We wash the dog for $5. We will trim your dog's nails for $5 and we will do glands, $55. That's kind of nasty. But you know, it's, it's the way that we study and by the end, you know, we have all our trusted students that well at the end your dog should be clean and you'd be able to go home and just have fun with your dog again. That's awesome. Well I have three dogs so I know I'll definitely make sure to show up. Um, but besides your dog washer sprocket is constantly pushing out amazing events. Let's offer the money to give us the sports news and win against the yeah, March, we're in bobcats. If there's anything that inspires me to keep working, I would hands down say it's all the genuine devotion. I see our very own drama program putting into every one of their shows. Speaking of, hello dolly is their upcoming performance and it is sure to amaze the first show will be on March 31st followed by three more one on april 1st, the seventh and the eighth. All at 6 30 PM Ticket prices are 1050 online and 15 at the door. Use the QR code on screen to get your tickets now. But our drama program are not the only ones putting in work, let's take it to Christian with our robotics team to find out more about their upcoming competitions. Hey bobcats, I'm christian and I'm here with robert Quinn Matthew Williams from robotics club and they're here to talk about their new competition. So guys, how much work got put into competing in this new competition. So at the beginning of january we get a game and from there we have 67 weeks to build this robot. So most teams, they usually build one robot, we go the extra step and build two robots, one prototype and once we figure everything out, we end up building this which is the main competition robot, All of this, a lot of our students have over 200 hours working within the classroom that we have for the engineering room. Um and so we put a lot of work and we take a lot of pride in our robot. So where will this competition be held? So our next competition will be in Orlando which is on March nine and then we will also be competing in Alabama at the rocket city regional and what exactly does this robot do. Um So this robot, the main thing that it does is it picks up kind of these large tennis grab here like these Um and it has to shoot them into a target which is about 10 ft in the air um and then at the end of the match um you can get extra points for climbing this bar that's suspended in the air and we have a separate system to do that. It's kind of like monkey bars in a sense. So our robot will, in the future hopefully be able to kind of swing on the monkey bars. So our robots about £120. And that's a lot of different calculations that we've had to work on to make sure that we can do the best we can with that client. All right, But thank you guys so much for coming. Now let's take it back to the desk. Thanks christian and good luck bobcats. Well, that wraps up our show.
