Underneath the inbox, you'll notice that students in your courses can message you. They can respond to feedback, and it's a nice way to communicate back and forth with students. In your course. Let's go ahead and jump into one of our canvas courses. I'm gonna start in the getting started with canvas webinar to talk to you about some of the different components that make up a canvas course The first thing I want to point out is modules. Content in a canvas course is best organized by having resource is for your students assignments for your students. Informational pages for your students organized into a course module, you'll notice that our modules are chunked according to the content that you would find inside of those modules. This makes it very easy for a student to find the content that they need thio, either for the week or for the topic being studied. Ah, lot of teachers may be feeling a little overwhelmed that at the idea of creating a canvas course, and it's important to note that teachers do not have to create canvas courses from scratch That, inside of a feature called the Canvas Commons Resource is have been provided four teachers to download into their courses to make teaching online as easy as possible. So it's really important that teachers understand that they have access to a rich library of resource is that they can download. So let me show you what this looks like. If I click on the Canvas Commons link from the Global Navigation bar, I'm brought to a website that host materials that have been published by teachers all over the world. Literally, what we're concerned about is having helping you to find Broward approved and Broward published materials the way you would filter to find Broward approved materials is to collect the filter button in the upper right hand corner of the screen scroll and select Broward County public schools. You can also narrow the content to a specific grade level or a specific content type. I would also recommend that you search for keywords. You can search for keywords such as Broward approved and you confined. Resource is that have been tagged with Broward Approved materials or Broward approved textbooks or Broward Approve secondary learning or Broward approved elementary learning. For example, one great resource that elementary teachers will want to know about eyes. The keyword L N. C. To stand for learning never closes. And when I search for learning never closes, you'll see that there are different modules by grade level. This is a kindergarten, um, social studies module, or this is a kindergarten, uh, module for April 20th to 24th. Here's a third grade module. Here's a second grade module. Here's 1/4 grade module, so This is where sometimes filtering by grade level can also help. So if I put in Broward, approved learning never closes for second grade. I'm going to find the modules that the district has created to make of adding content into my canvas courses. Easiest possible. So let's say I'm looking for the week of April 6th to the ninth, and I wanna download this material and put it into my canvas course. All I would need to dio is click on the link of the title that I want to import into my course. I'll see an overview of the types of activities that are included in this resource that I can download. I'll come over to the import and download button, click on that button, and I select the course for which I want this content to be imported into. You'll have a list of all of your courses here, and you'll check the box for the course that you want this content to be imported into. You'll scroll to the bottom of this page and click import into course. It may take some time for this content to finish downloading and becoming available in your course so give it some time to process and as soon as the content is available in your course, it will be organized in exactly the way you see it on the screen will be organized into modules and will have the content chunked into the different subject areas for you. This is this is very similar to other types of resource is that we find
